Awesome Arlington Persian Chow!!! No more driving to Dallas!
My wife and I moved to Arlington from Los Angeles and really missed Persian food. So low and behold when my wife finds a Persian restaurant in town. Colbeh Restaurant is a small family restaurant off of 360 in Arlington.
For those of you who aren't familiar with Persian food, let me tell you... it's awesome. Forget about the whole foreign food thing. They've got some really savory, yummy chow here.
My wife and I ordered the Koobideh and the Ghormeh Sabzi respectively. Koobideh is basically ground beef that is flavored with some mild spices and served over a plate of rice. That really doesn't do it justice but it's really good stuff. My wife's dish is more of a stew to be mixed in with the rice. The meal is served with pita bread, some feta and herbs as a starter.
Colbeh just recently got a write up in the newspaper. You won't find this restaurant without a map. We found it just fine as it's right off of 360 and Avenue K. Basically, you've got to find it behind a gas station.
The restaurant is clean. The service was attentive and very friendly. They have some awesome deserts. We're definitely going back and we hope that you will too. It's one of those restaurants where they've picked a terrible location (at least to me) and are doomed unless people figure out what a gem they are.

Kirk, if you want some Persian food a bit closer to home, try Kasra. It's on Arapaho west of 75.
