Ba Le expanded and taken over Rangoli space?

  • 6

Along Brighton Ave near Harvard, it seemed that Ba Le (formerly Pho Pasteur) seemed much larger and then I thought that perhaps Rangoli was gone. Can anyone confirm?

  1. I ate at Rangoli no more than 3 weeks ago and saw that they had just redecorated the interior. It certainly didn't look like they were planning on packing up.

You did make my heart race with the idea of them closing though, I LOVE their food. So, I had to call them. They are open. Ba Le must have taken over something else.

    1. No, just ate at Ba Le (Pho Pasteur). It's the same. Sometimes those big mirrors can play tricks on you.

Whew! Thanks. It wasn't the mirrors. i was on a bus passing by and had a case of acute dosa loss anxiety.

I am picturing you sweating bullets all the way to your destination .... funny! So, do tell about the dosas ... do they have several kinds, do you have a favorite? I just had my first dosa this weekend in NYC (sheepish face) and now I need to explore the world of the dosa.

Namaskar offers a bunch of different dosa. I have only tried the potato-stuffed and found it to be pretty good (I always fall victim to the boss naan - stuffed with chiles- there...mmm).

Hi Yumyum: Rangoli was the first place I had dosas in Boston but as alice states below, they are now available elsewhere. There are lots of different fillings but I usualy get the one with curried potato. I still think that Rangoli does a good one.
