Which one is better for dinner, EL Rincon or Casa Rincon? And what are your thoughts on that Cowboy place? I don't want to eat at Auberge or fancy places because this vacation is supposed to be casual for me. As long as the food is good.
I haven't been to The Cowboy Club http://www.cowboyclub.com or Casa Rincon http://www.rinconrestaurants.com but I have been to El Ricon http://www.elrinconrestaurant.com and I've always had good experiences. It's my understanding that Casa Rincon is the more upscale sibling, with an added focus on more Spanish and Southwestern foods as well.
Oaxaca Mexican, just down the street in Uptown Sedona is decent too. Though again, slightly more casual in terms of service and atmosphere.
When we go to sedona my wife and I always enjoy a casual nice dinner at El Rincon in Talaquepaque shopping center. We enjoy the Chimmy enchilada style and their marguerites are very good , on the rocks and fresh lime.
I don't have any experience with Casa Rincon. Enjoy .
We had a *really* bad meal at the Rincon in West Sedona -- though it is a very attractive place. Hmm, can't find the link here [Googles] nada. Could swear I wrote it up a year or so back....
I think the Rincon in Tlaquepaque has the same owners, but we haven't eaten there for years. Wasn't good then.
If you don't mind basic atmosphere, Tamale Mama's in West Sedona (behind Basha's, ims) is decent and cheap.
