Can anyone recommend a nice place for Thanksgiving dinner on the Peninsula? Ideally a non-traditional place, something ethnic, perhaps.

  1. Janey, I think your question might be a bit too general. There are lots of nice restaurants that won't be serving turkey and mashed potatoes. Do you have a particular town or comfort food in mind?

    1. I'm in Mountain View, so ideally it would be nice to find some place in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Cupertino areas. I went to Mings in Palo Alto for dim sum one year and that was nice. Something Moroccan or Japanese may be nice.

You have a lot of choices for Japanese, whether you prefer sushi or home-style, cozy or glitzy. I'm not aware of any Moroccan restaurants around here. I do recall some of the larger Indian restaurants having special holiday buffets last year.
