Lucerne "Limited Edition" Pumpkin Pie Yogurt from Safeway

Not sure if this post should be on the 'chains' board...if so, I'll repost there.

I tried the Lucerne brand pumpkin pie yogurt today and thought it was really good. The pumpkin gelato thread reminded me of it, so I thought I should post. It's certainly nothing fancy, but I recommend it.

I never was a yogurt fan until I tried some Yoplait, I bought the Lucerne brand on sale at Safeway as the servings were larger than Yoplait. The flavors all tasted well enough to me and I'm partial to the Lime, Black Cherry, and Banana Strawberry. My wife said the Vanilla was ok as that is the only flavor she likes. It is good the "Pumpkin" is limited edition as if this were a mainstay Lucerne would go broke. I thought the pumpkin to be absolutely horrible. Lucerne's taste testers would do well to buy a carton of Edy's "Limited Edition Pumpkin Ice Cream" and try to match that pumpkin flavor.
I'll continue to by Lucerne's other flavors but they can keep the pumpkin.

I just tried it today, and i'm not impressed. it has 41g of sugar, and 44g of total carbs, I think this is slightly high for a lowfat yogurt. My initial thought was that it tastes like baby food, the texture and all.

I love lucerne, but I won't buy this flavor again.

It's sort of a sugar blast, but not any more than any of their other yogurts, or regular yoplaitesque yogurts. It still tastes like yogurt, not like pudding or anything too desserty.

I just read a post on General Topics about yogurt, so I have decided to clarify some things:

The pumpkin yogurt is lowfat (not nonfat), contains no corn syrup but DOES contain corn starch and sugarrrrr, and is probably too sweet for you if you think yoplait and dannon are too sweet. I thought the flavor was quite good though. Here's the yogurt post:
