Ross Old Austin Cafe in Austin Texas

Has anyone tried this place? I've noticed it a couple times and they look busy.It's on the west side of Lamar north of Braker Lane.

Several yrs ago I worked near Braker and we'd have lunch at Ross' a couple times a month. Standard Austin-type fare done well. CFS, burgers, a salad bar. Fridays used to offer a decent catfish lunch. My experience at breakfast wasn't as good.

Any updates on this place? I'm planning on going Friday and would like some recommendations.

I went there for lunch during the bar exam this past February. Chicken tenders were good, gravy was good. Baked potatoes were large and generously topped. People who work there are very friendly and overall it's a nice vibe.
