The only place I can think of is the public markets such as Jean-Talon perhaps Atwater. Not sure if it's pass the season for it; I've never tasted Jerus' artichokes before.

At the restaurant we we're getting them all summer and all of a sudden a month ago, nothing our supplier had none left, I asked around at Atwater market and no one has some. I haven't tried Jean-Talon but I assume you can get some at Chez Louis or at Nino's . Most of the time you can get them from late autumn into winter.

I didn't see any yesterday at the JTM (including Chez Louis and Nino's). Ditto ExoFruits on CDN this morning (they usually have them, though they're probably not local).

madame pinsoneault at atwater as well as the organic peps at jt had them on friday. Jerusalem artichokes tend to be sweeter in the fall, once the frost hit. i think that less gardener are growing them on small scale, for they are impossible to eradicate hence becoming like weeds. some studies have shown interest in them because of the sugar form in them could potentialy be good or at least no harmful for diabetics.

p.s. birri had a little as well.
