chefjoel Oct 12, 2006 01:49 PM

I have a traditon of finding some of the best local favorites in cities. I have never been dissapointed.I am traveling to Boston, and I am staying at the westin waterfront, so preferbly something within 15-20 min drive. I love all types of foods. Price is not a factor, I save up for these dinners! Thank you.

I'd start by surfing around this boston board and doing some general searches to help you narrow it down (people come to this board many times a week asking for our favorites!)

That being said, some places I instantly think of with local character include:

-A cheese pie at Pizzeria Regina, well done
-Oysters and/or cherrystones with a cold beer, sitting at the bar at Union Oyster House
    -Legal Seafood
    -East Coast Grill
--Coffee and cannoli at Cafe Graffiti, Sporto, Paradiso, Vittoria, in the north end

I'm sure there are more, but this is a pretty good start.

Santarpio's in East Boston for some of the best pizza in the city (the atmosphere is interesting, too! Very old school).
