Friday I attended a book signing and tasting at Clos du Bois for _Perfect Pairings_ by Evan Goldstein MS. Three wine styles by Clos du Bois were presented with three small bites prepared by Feast Catering using recipes in the book developed by Evan's mom, Joyce Goldstein. The execution of the food was very impressive --- great freshness, balance, knife work, textural integrity, eye appeal, and of course, flavor. The arranged plate included a cold ceviche, hot baked ricotta, and a room temperature pork loin, not an easy feat when serving 60 guests. The staff did a good job keeping water and wine glasses full during the presentation as well as the social session afterwards, and responded well to my requests. I'd certainly consider Feast for one of my own events and wanted to post about the company here for the next time someone needs a caterer.

Hi Melanie,

Is this the same Feast as the Feast restaurant in Santa Rosa? Someone gave my husband a gift certificate for Feast and we haven't been yet.

Well, Jesse McQuarrie is the owner/chef of both. But, I'm not finding any current references to Feast Bistro. I recall looking at a menu at Montgomery Village a couple-three years ago, but that address is now Monti's. Have you had the certificate for awhile?

Huh. I thought husband said Feast. But maybe he said something else. That spot at Montgomery Village kept changing once Lisa Hemenway left up until it's current incarnation as Monty's, which seems like it will stick.

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it more, I think I was there for a Thanksgiving dinner when it was Flavor.

Have to speak to the husband....

Wow! What a wonderful compliment! Thankyou Melanie. My name is Jesse McQuarrie I am the chef/proprietor of Feast Catering. Our team works very hard and with a lot of passion. I will definately pass this blog on to my staff. Regarding gift certificates, if you had one for Feast Bistro, Monti's (a very good restaurant) will honor them or I believe Montgomery Village will as well.

Cheers
