Good carniceria - Downtown/Pasadena area?

socal Oct 11, 2006 09:42 PM

I actually live in Alhambra and work in Cypress Park near Dodger Stadium, so I KNOW there's got to be a great carniceria close by.

I'm just looking to get carne asada and maybe some chicken to bbq at a party this Friday. Could be serving 20+.

Any suggestions?

Alhambra Market, right in your own backyard :) They have good carne asada and marinated chicken.

Near Alhambra is La Tapatia Market on Eastern Av. 2 blocks South of Huntington Dr. on the West side of the street (next to El Sereno Liquor and across from Tamale Man) in El Sereno.
Their marinated chicken and asada are both excellent.

Rancho Meat Market at 2910 N Broadway in Lincoln Heights has very good asada and would be easy to visit on your way home.

Surprised there are no good Mexican meat markets in your area on Cypress Avenue.

They got everything at Los Toros.

El Sereno Meat Market...it's located on Huntington next to a food for less. I don't know the exact address...but I gurantee it's the best in town
