GOOD Vietnamese in Bethesda

  • 2

All -

I find myself coming to Bethesda tomorrow afternoon for a meeting, and as it's my last meeting before going home, there's an errand I have to run. I have a little one with a birthday tomorrow, and this one is a _HUGE_ fan of vietnamese food (which is wonderful, as far as I am concerned).

I have promised to pick up dinner for the fam before bringing it home - cha gio, bo luc lac, hanoi grilled pork, etc. I hesitate to go to Green Papaya, considering it's lackluster and expensive reputation. Price isn't really the issue for me, quality is.

I'm used to grabbing food out at the Eden Center itself and trucking it home, but I want to use that as an option of last resort (I don't want to have to go out to Seven Corners, pick up food, and then turn around and head over to Bethesda for my meeting).

Any thoughts on good Vietnamese in Bethesda? What about Silver Spring? Rockville?

Thanks!

  1. You'll find nothing as good as the Vietnamese restaurants of Clarendon or Eden Center. That said, Nam's on Cordell is pretty good, especially their pork and seafood.

    1. I didn't think Nam's was all that great ... and I'm not a fan of hair in my summer rolls. I like Green Papaya, though (shrug).
