Pre-Hummingbird dinner - JK Wine Bar?

There will be a bunch of us going to the Hummingbird on a Wednesday evening. The show starts at 7:30. What do you think the chances of getting in and out of there in time if we arrived at, say, 5:30? I realize they don't take reservations.

Or - another suggestion in the area? Open to any ideas.

    Assuming there isn't 20 of you, you should have no problem at JK.

    Another suggestion is the Ninth Gate. Never had a problem waiting for food there. If you go, get the LA Kalbi, delicious

      We've been to JK Wine Bar a few times (normally on the weekend mind you), when we arrive around 6ish its never been a problem getting a table. You could maybe call and ask if they expect it to be busy around that time? I know its busier during the week with the after work crowds...
