Looking for a place with a decent vegetarian menu for my anniversary. Any suggestions?

Sometimes it's hard to make recommendations without knowing what neighborhood you're looking for.

When I was a vegan (14 years) my special occasion preferences were always upscale Indian. Any good Indian restaurant is capable of preparing a vegetarian or vegan feast.

How about Madeleine Bistro in Tarzana?

Melisse (French) has a vegetarian tasting menu, and the restaurant permits a la carte ordering off of it.

        Happy anniversary!

Im a strict vegetarian, and often enjoy Cafe Bisou on the corner of Holly/Raymond in Pasadena. They have a great vegetable plate that includes a delicious mushroom ravioli, orange cous-cous, vegetables in puff-pastry, and a selection of great steamed veggies all on the same plate. Price is definitely reasonable, and their corkage fee is probably the cheapest in town.

Joe's in Venice can prepare tasty vegetarian meals. Call to see if what they can make is in line with what you'd like.

I would recommend Il Grano in West LA. They've got a lot of vegetarian options and a great vegetarian tasting menu.

If you're in or close to Central OC, I enjoy Wheel of Life for vegan Chinese and Thai cuisine.

The flavoring is a little on the sweet side, but it's good stuff.
