Lunch recs for Clinton CT area....

Will be in Clinton tomorrow for the outlets and Chamard winery. Any good lunch places? No asian or indian food. Nice selection of wines by the glass would be a plus. TIA!

Okay, I've gone looking and 2 places I'm considering are Boom and Water's Edge Resort. Any comments?

Boom is not a bad option-- neither is Aqua. Both in Clinton near the harbor. Al Forno in Old Saybrook does a nice lunch. Pazzo in Westbrook-- but I am not sure if they are open for lunch. The Stone House in Guilford is lovely on the water. Martin's on the Guilford Green is also nice.
Have fun shopping. Make sure to show your AAA card at the manager's booth and you get a great book of coupons.

Boom is in the marina with lots of boat traffic on good sailing
days--check out the sweet potato clam chowder. Aqua is ok too.
Pazzo is great but only open for dinner last time I was there.
Elizabeth's in Madison (see below) is also good.
Water's Edge is upscale with classy Sunday brunch.
Al Forno is reliable Italian and pizza is ok as well.

I would recommend Elizabeth's Cafe in Madison on Boston Post Rd. Great sandwiches and Italian peasant dishes. Not alot of great lunch options on the shoreline

Thanks for all of these - I'll print it out to keep it for future reference....Clinton is a halfway point between myself and friend.

We ended up at Water's Edge resort and couldn't have been happier....I had a cornmeal fried oyster po'boy w/a red pepper remoulade. Friends had a burger and chicken saltimbocca sandwich on focaccia which they both loved. Nice wines too.

Chamard Winery was a bit of a disappointment....nice wines, but the tasting room smells SO bad of something between musty & cat pee as to be overwhelming - I was shocked. Too bad to, because the nice wines, the bldg is really pretty.
