50th Anniversary Luncheon Near Westfield NJ

My siblings and I want to host a 50th Anniversary Party for my parents next summer. We will have approx 75 guests, they live in Westfield, and we are all out of town. Any suggestions for a sit down lunch within an hours drive from Westfield?

Thanks for the help. I too grew up there, and was surprised by the Westwood mention, I guess things change in 30 years!!! I guess they like Giovanna's in Plainfield, so I'll check that and the Westwood to see which works.

Chez C is my fav Westfield dining spot too but for 75 guests I would highly recommend The Westwood, one town over in Garwood, NJ. Attended a party there recently and the food was amazing.

WOW! Is the Westwood still there? I was at a sweet 16th birthday party there, (when I was also 16) but I won't tell you how many years ago that was!!

I do not recall the meal we were served at all, but I do remember the place being "dated". Perhaps it has changed now, since that was many moons ago.

Oops! HillJ, you have a point there. I somehow skipped over the 75 people part. Acc. to Chez Catherine's website, they can do parties for up to 50. :-(

Once again, I agree with RGR. Chez Catherine is delightful! I went there on RGR's recommendation a few months ago, and have been back quite a few times since. Always a memorable experience.

Just recently, I went to a bridal shower at Theresa's in Westfield. The food was quite good. It is a BYOB, but the mother of the bride brought an assortment of wines with her. Very nice.

You don't indicate what cuisines you prefer and what your budget might be. That said.... I highly recommend Chez Catherine, right in Westfield. It is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. The French cuisine is superb, there's a fine wine list, and the ambiance is really lovely. Owner Didier Jouvenal is a wonderful host and, along with his excellent small staff, always makes certain his guests have a perfect dining experience. They do private functions, and I have every confidence Didier will work with you to insure that everything goes off without a hitch.
