I made reservations here for our Splurge Night in Paris, purely on the strength of its Michelin rating. Any thoughts?

Delicious! One of the most filling meals I've ever had though, so I wouldn't plan on eating much else that day.

Brilliant, strange stuff. I ate there last fall and it was the best meal of my life. The tasting menu is definitely the way to go.

If you like very creative modern cooking, you'll will enjoy Pierre Gagnaire. His menu is small tastings of many things, often different variations of an ingredient. There'll be many great courses, and a few misses. If you prefer more traditional cooking, you'll do better else where.

I've never eaten his cooking, but there are a number of people who think he's the best chef on the planet. Enjoy.
