I'm visiting the island next month hoping it wont rain too much. I know most of the grub in the restaurants is overpriced and overcooked. I'm looking to find simple and delicious food unique to the island. Thanks for your help.

Cracked Conch, Conch Salad and Bimini Bread. Which Island are you visiting?

I'll be staying at Westin Grand Bahama Island Our Lucaya Resort on Grand Bahama Island. I figure one night we'll go to Nobu at Atlantis but I need help with the local food. Also what is the nightlife like Sun - Wed, any places to recommend? Thanks, Pete

I am staying at the Westin as well in December. Is it possible to get to Nobu at the Atlantis from there for a dinner?

Another great resource is The Thorn Tree on the Lonely Planet website, if you are getting away from food-centric questions.

Faithdog - I dont think the island is that big. I'm sure there are a number of taxis waiting to get you from here to there.

Bahamas locals - Not too much from you huh?

Ida - Thanks for the tip I'll check it out.

The Atlantis is on Paradise Island, north of Nassau on New Providence Island. It's not a taxi ride away from Grand Bahama Island. There are no ferries, you have to take a plane.
