I would like to hear some thoughts on the food/bar. I saw the review in the Friday Sun-Times.

Yep, my wife and I went there last month. Great food, good service. Prices were too high for that view of the RT. 59 exit on I88. I can see paying those prices on Navy Pier, but overlooking the highway detracted a bit for me. But again, the food was very good. We will probably go back since it's 6 minutes from our house.

Went there last week for lunch with my wife and loved it. Agree with Chicago Wine Geek. It is a nice change from the overcrowded and rushed-service restaurants in downtown Naperville. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I have been there several times. The food is always good, but I agree with Chicago Wine Geek re: the prices - definitely overpriced for the location, etc.

How's the wine list? Sames as everybody else or some new and exciting choices?

Pretty much the same as everyone else. Most source from the same distributors so not a lot of variety.

Yeah, that is what I figured. Not many suburban places with a truely great list. Same distributors equals the same stuff at many.

Just enjoyed a FABULOUS experience at Riva, Naperville. Started with great martini's in the bar - the Pear martini was terrfic - one of the few very good ones that I've had - not too sweet & they put a dash of cinnamnin on top. The antioxidant martini was also mentionable.
In the dining room, we enjoyed very good service - bordering on too attentive. The appetizers were very good -- dates stuffed with chorizo were very good, the Oysters Rockefeller were also very good & the Tuna tartar stack was amazing. Our group of four had steak, seafood & one of the specials --- all were very good. For dessert, the bread pudding was a standout. Chef David Sapp is making his mark on Naperville! We will be back.

I think David is brilliant! He went to Riva from Timpano Chop House. When he was there he made me an awesome birthday dessert and treated us to a glass of champagne in the 'lounge'
I am glad to hear he is doing well there. When we visit in May we'll have to dine there! Thanks
        for the report!
