Need restaurant recs - used to live there, but want to try new places

Hello -
I'm coming up in mid November for a visit, and am looking for some great SF restaurants to try. I spent 8 years there, and go back every year, so I am familiar with a lot of the standards (Delphina, Zuni, etc.).

I like a restaurant that has a good atmosphere. I'm in my early 30s, so a hip-but-not-so-young crowd is always good. The last time I was there, I tried Public, which I loved. Great food, service and atmosphere.

We're staying at the Hotel Adagio, so we have reservations for Cortez one of the nights we are there. But we'll have two other nights to eat out. Since I absolutely have to have the chilequiles at the Farmer's Market for one breakfast/lunch, and an almond crossaint from Citizen cake for another breakfast, I'm mainly looking for dinner places. Not crazy expensive would be good, even some really great deals if you have them.

What's new and exciting in the last year in SF?

Thanks,
Clare

Based on your criteria, I can personally recommend coco500, Farmer Brown, Aziza and Canteen (and NOPA). You might also consider Coi, though it may be a bit too spendy.

Anything other than NOPA? I heard a rumor that Elizabeth Faulkner is opening a restaurant up there. Truth?
