Ok, well since no one else is posting, I'll give a easy one.
I went to a restaurant in Miami (an italian chain, I believe called Prezzo...it's been a while) and they put an entire roasted garlic on the table with bread. I was young at the time and I had never had this before. It was so good, and when we asked how it was made, they handed us a recipe card.
Anyway, it's a simple dish.
Cut the top off a whole garlic bulb, but keep it in tact. Place in a piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle olive oil generously, and season with salt and pepper. Poke holes in the sides to allow oil to drip into. Then put in an oven set to about 450 degrees for an hour or so (sometimes longer). It'll be soft and sweet when done. A very delicious, easy, no prep time appetizer. Serve with fresh bread.
