L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon is just on the outskirts of the St. Germaine area, in the 7th. I would also recommend the authentic experience of Le Pied de Fouet and of course Les Deux Magots and/or Cafe Le Flore for sitting and watching tous de Paris pass by while sipping your $8 coffee.
