please help-burgers in south lake tahoe

we ate at a very casual burger stand last summer in tahoe right past the Y and i can't recall the name but i don't think it was burger lounge which has the giant root beer mug. is there another good burger place along that strech of 89?

I am a Tahoe local and I will tell you the name of the burger place you are thinking of is Colombo's Burger-a-go-go. It is located on the right side of Emerald Bay Road just past the "Y" and right before Burger Lounge. In my opinion the burgers are not as good as the Lounge and certainly are not as large, but they do make their own bread fresh daily and are quite good in their own right.

Another great burger place in Tahoe, a locals favorite is Izzy's Burger Spa, located on Hwy. 50 (Lake Tahoe Blvd.) on the left side toward the casinos. A total dive, but great burgers.

If you're not talking about the Burger Lounge that I just walked out of then you must be speaking of Columbo's Burgers-a-Go-Go on the corner of Emerald Bay Road and Seventh.

Izzy's does make a very tasty burger, worth trying IMO.

Maybe Izzy's? Just a burger stand, but I've always found them to be a reliable source of that type of burger.

no i've never been to izzys and have spent alot of my life in tahoe and i can't explain why we've never been there! this was past the Y going towards emerald bay- i'm thinking now it might have been colombos burgers a go-go
