Champer Champer?

Someone mentioned this place to me but hadn't eaten there. Any words of wisdom? The diners on London Eating seem to like it a lot.

  1. It seems to have an unsusal menu for sure. I may have to check it out next week or so. Too bad lunch is by appointment only.

    1. Went there about 3 years ago when it opened and I remember a most enjoyable evening. Friendly and efficient service if somewhat quirky. As I recall, I remarked to the owner that I liked the music they were playing and he immediately burned me a copy and made a gift of this. I suppose it must have been a quiet night for them.

      1. We had dinner there a few weeks ago. We were 5 people, and everyone thought the dinner was a nice change from normal london dining. The food was fair to good. The wine list was interesting, but the staff didn't know much about the wines they offer. The decor is unusual and service was good. The menu was very unusual, although i had never been to a malaysian restaurant before. Several items were either already unavailable or soon to be, at 7:30 on a Saturday night when we were the 2nd table seated. The best items we had were the thai-like prawn noodle dishes and a spicy beef main. Ostrich was just okay. The highly touted smoked banana ice cream is VILE. Everyone agreed that the whole experience bordered on being just too wierd, but just stopped short enough to get away with it.

        1. Thanks for the comments. The menu does seem a bit unusual!
