Hayward Greek Festival report (w/ pics) Oct 6, 2006--You still have 2 more days!

hhc Oct 7, 2006 05:00 AM

Just a short report that the Hayward Greek Festival is worth spend some money for admission and buying their food.

I enjoyed the dolmathes 2 for $3 (dining room buffet line) and the desserts from the coffee room: Galaktobureko $3-fillo, custard filling, & honey syrup. So tasty.

Kourabiedes-butter cookies w/ powdered sugar. Similar to Mexican wedding cookies. Just good.

Gyro-just average, similar to what you can find at the mall.
