No Old Bay, no garlic, no stir fry with ginger & scallion. Is there a place that serves an Alaskan King, a snow, a Canadian in its steamed, lemon & butter only, pristine natural state?
City Crab certainly does, and it isn't my favorite place either. Thanks, though. I think I may be making up a restaurant in my head that doesn't actually exist in Manhattan. Maybe I'll wait for Urban Lobster to get up to speed.
Thanks, Lisette. Whole Foods also steams lobsters (or they did until recently), but all the crab I've seen at seafood counters has been pre-cooked. I could pick up some live crabs in Chinatown & steam them myself, but I was hoping to find a restaurant that would just serve them to me.
Don't know what restaurant, but you can certainly buy them at Citarella. Agata and Valentina (79 & 1st) will steam their lobsters for you, perhaps they could do the same for crab?
