Good finger food (take out) in SGV (not Chinese)?
Going to a dinner party and wanted to bring some finger foods. I was thinking about Porto's potato balls (which I've yet to try), but that's too far out of the way. I was thinking somewhere along the 10, from east LA in to the SG/Alhambra/El Monte areas. All guests are Chinese, so I was thinking of getting something different. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

You could try Wahib's Middle Eastern, at 910 E. Main in Alhambra. Good finger foods there include stuffed grape leaves, falafel, kibbeh, sambusak, and meat, spinach, or cheese pies. They also have some great little soujok sausages.

Maybe try Claro's Market?
It's on Valley Blvd., between Rosemead and San Gabriel.
If you are eastbound on the 10 FWY, exit San Gabriel Blvd, head north and then hang a right on Valley. You'll see it on the left hand side of the street (right before you hit 888 Seafood Restaurant).
