I've heard that Peet's is opening a store in Union Station! That would be awesome for commuters and downtowners.

    Anybody else heard this?

i love peets also, but find myself getting it at the bristol farms bakery instead. luckily there's always parking there and they usually have the major dickson blend readily available.

There's one out here by me in Woodland Hills. Across the street are those terrific cheese steaks. It's only very busy on the weekends and, even then, not much of a wait.

I don't drink coffee — that's my husband — but I appreciate their excellent tea selection *and* the fact that you can open a tiny jar and sniff any of them before ordering. Their freddo drinks are sensational. And the employees are very helpful and friendly.

peets is my absolute favorite, i like the brentwood one cuz they are quick there as well as the one in beverly hills is very roomy to sit around in....the sunset one though is really slow and the parking is horrible, i suggest avoiding that one alltogether. peets is amazing, i think they definitely need some more locations like maybe in hollywood or west hollywood even, maybe the melrose area as well...the coffee is really so much better than starbucks or coffee bean, i have been spoiled.

The one on Foothill, in Pasadena, is generally not as packed. One could study there.

I love Peet's too! I know they will be opening up on in Marina Del Rey on October 23rd, but I'm not quite sure where in Marina Del Rey it will be.

It is located on the corner of Lincoln Blvd. and Mindanao Way (near the new Ralphs).

                    i'm confused.
the OLD ralphs is on admiralty way and mindinao
the NEW ralphs is on lincoln near MAXELLA.

where, oh where, will the peets be?
                    i am dying for one!
now i drive to santa monica every time i need fresh coffee.

btw, had a very disappointing cup of brewed coffee at the one in westwood yesterday. after hundreds of fine cups of peets coffee, it was a shock to get a bad one. . ..

Probably at the "New" old ralphs.....uuhh....the one on Mindanao and Admiralty that was totally demolished and rebuilt....they have that new minimall with the fountain and everything......I used to go there 3 times a week for breakfast and coffee when "Zebra Cafe" was there...pity they didn't put it back up.

I used to go to Peets a lot...but I've been rushing in the morning...perhaps I need to hit it up more....

That is correct, I was talking about the Ralphs in the same mall as the CPK. Now Peets will be in the mall across the street where there is a US Bank and Subway. They will also be opening a Panera there.

AWESOME...that is on my morning commute, on the right side of the street to boot!

funny you should mention the Westwood location. Always felt it was not up to the standards of other locations. Go there after my dentist visits nearby, yet...?!

You might find their website handy for future reference.
Two in Santa Monica, two in Pasadena, one each in Santa Clarita, Tarzana, Larchmont, among others.

There's one on San Vicente in Brentwood. It's busy but not packed -- but good luck parking.

                        That's a question to type into yp.yahoo.com.

But close to me, I know there's one on Westwood just off Santa Monica (between Santa Monica an Olympic). Usually not too crowded, although the crowded Peet's will have higher turnover and better coffee.

I believe Peet's claims to brew fresh coffee every 30 minutes whether it has "turned over" or not.

peets is my go-to source for coffee.
i dunno why, but the brewed coffee at the westwood blvd location, imho, sucks.
i love the brewed coffee at all the other locations i've visited.
the ground coffee is the same at all locations.
can't imagine what they could possibly be doing differently at that one location--it makes no sense to me.. . .
