I`m looking for a romantic bistro type restaurant in the marais to celebrate my hubby`s birthday. Any recommendations?

If you are willing to go Italian, try Napoli Food on rue Castex.

Just ate at Au Gamin last week and I loved the loud but friendly, warm atmosphere. I know there might be better food or more varied menus out there, but it was very cozy and comfortable.

I just ate at Au Fil de Saisons, on the edge of the Marais, and it was wonderful.

I still love the Gamin, but there is much better food to be had in the Marais.

We were just there and ate at Au Gamin de Paris - 4 times! LOVE IT!!! Had lunch twice and dinner twice .... everything was outstanding! Especially, the steak and salmon and the vegtable puree that they serve with it. Have the Apple tart (carmel topping) for dessert and if they run out by the time you get there the chocolate cake is GREAT as well!!

It has been 10 years since I lived in the Marais, but my favorite was Au Gamin de Paris. It was the first place that I ever had confit de canard, so it is a sentimental favorite.

I would recommend La Guarland du Julie in the Place des Voges. The restaurant is lovely and the setting on the Place the best in Paris.
