what is happening with the sullivan st bakery

ok - it's been my favorite bakery for many years & the sesamo is my favorite. however...

quality seems to have been slowly declining over the last 3 years.

went in this week & when I left I had a bag that looked aesthetically like the sullivan st bakery bag but it had a different bakery name on it.

any insite?

    My office used to be a few blocks from Sullivan Street Bakery and I'd stop there regularly on my way home. Haven't been in more than a year now, but I do buy the Pain Pugliese at Fairway. That, at least, doesn't seem to have changed much from what I remember. But then, that now comes from the wholesale operation, not from the shop.

      There's been a noticeable decline in quality in the Sullivan St location since it changed over to Grand Daisy, at least in terms of the pizzas, which have a less crisp crust and not as much flavor.
