Can anyone tell me if they've seen quinces around town? I have checked with a few grocery stores and they've never even heard of them!

Thanks!

  1. I would suggest stores that cater to an Iranian clientele. (Yonge and Sheppard? I forget). They have a love-on for the quince. May be seasonal though.

    1. Try Fanfare Flowers on Yonge between Eglinton and Davisville. They had them this past weekend. Otherwise, the Market will have them.

      1. They usually show up at the cheap greengrocers around the Danforth area, for example the place on Pape just north of the Danforth by the subway station, probably also at Fruit King at Logan.

        1. I needed some for a chutney and saw some at Pusateries Fruit Market (Church st & Maitland area, not Pusateries Fine Foods on Bay and Yorkville)but then ended up getting them at Whole Foods

Hmmm....I called Whole Foods and they said they didn't have any. Thanks for all the suggestions! I did get in touch with Fresh & Wild (Runnymede & Bloor area) and they said they have some, but failing that I'll test out your suggestions.

          2. I don't know about this year, but every other fall I have seen them at Kensington.

            1. Fruit King on Danforth at Logan has them and so much cheaper than the 5 thieves or whole foods.
