Peasant serves a spaghetti with bottarga.

'inoteca offers on its tramezzini menu tonno with bottarga.

I just need it plain and in quantity with some bread and Bokha or Pastis and other treats like olives, anise, artichoke etc. I heard it is possible to order it online.

I was told at DiPalo's about a month ago that the new harvest would be in at the end of September.

I've seen it for sale at the Italian food market in Chelsea Market

They have it at the Italian market in Chelsea Market. 'Tain't cheap, but not as much quoted in the Chowhound string, and it's available in small portions.

Do you think it's cheaper than DiPalo's - $22 for 4 oz - and was it definitely the gray mullet and not the tuna? TIA

They have both the tuna and the grey mullet for sale at Gustiamo.com. It's not cheap though, $15-$46 depending. Here's the site: http://www.gustiamo.com/cgi-bin/front...

Bellavitae does serve pasta with bottarga, and as they have a commissary, they might also sell it.
