Ono Hawaiian Grill, HMB - Closed?
Anyone know if Ono Hawaiian Grill in Half Moon Bay is still open? The number on the website is disconnected and a friend reported it was dead empty at normal business hours on a recent drive-by.
We were planning to visit after pumpkin patching. If it is closed, can anyone recommend another good, casual, kid-friendly stop for lunch in that general area? Barbara's Fish Trap or Ketch JoAnn, maybe?
Thanks in advance.

Hmmmm. . . An "Ono Grill" just opened on 3rd Ave. in downtown San Mateo. Small place, former storefront property, just a block fron another Hawaiian BBQ, L & H, I think. (Why are there so many Hawaiian BBQs with 2-letter names?) I wonder if this is the same as your Ono?

The Hawaiian language has many, many long words. Is the State fish still the humuhumunukunukuapua'a? Perhaps casual restaurants have short names because otherwise it would take so long to talk about where to have lunch that it would already be too late to eat. ;-)
