COMPARTES Chocolate Shop in Brentwood -- About to receive new catalogs

I am so jazzed! I requested online a hard copy of Compartes current catalog, and Mr. Jonathan himself wrote me a personal email to tell me to use the online catalog for now because he is expecting a delivery soon (within a couple of weeks) of his new catalog. Oh, yum!
This is terrific customer service AND they have a great product!
I am currently looking for three smallish hostess gifts for a wedding shower. If anyone has opinions about what I should get -- chocolate covered apricots (my favorite) or truffles or something else????, please let me know.

I am blown away! Mr. Jonathan at Compartes again sent me an email to confirm that his new "hard" catalogs are being distributed. However, you can see all of his amazing offerings online at his website.
Is this Customer Service at its finest? I am really impressed when I see someone serve and be in the job with such heart and soul.
i was in there today putting together a 20 piece box for a meeting, they have a new hazelnut that is outstanding as well as mango with jasmine, peach with rosemary and a homemade peanut butter that is divine, i saw the bon apetit magazine on the counter, its in the new november issue, good write up with a big picture of the truffles and yes liu they deserve it, great stuff, oh by the way, my meeting went so smoothly due to the chocolates that everyone was devouring, they were gone in less than 10 minutes.
re: Kitchen Queen
Helllllooooo, KQ! How's the bride-to-be doing? How is your planning going?
But I know that your first love is Compartes! As I have noted above, Jonathan has been extremely attentive and very concerned that I receive his newest catalog. I will stop by there either this weekend or next, and I will definitely check out the Love Nuts you are recommending...what exactly are they? I don't know about them. Is this what you are having for your main course at your wedding?
Compartes does amazing chocolate and sea salt combinations. The dark chocolate peanut butter sea salt truffle is amazing. It's like a reese's peanut butter cup for the most sophisticated palate!
I also adore Compartes sea salt caramels. Either dark or milk chocolate versions blend so nicely with the sweet caramel and savory sea salt!
Worth a trip to Brentwood!
I liked the love nuts, but found the truffles overly sweet with too-thick shells and slightly waxy chocolate. Almost tasted like an exotic version of See's. Not bad, but certainly not worth $2 a pop.
