Lunch in Menlo Park?

Any suggestions for a casual spot with good and non-Asian food? Anyone recommend Cafe Borrone or is it more a coffee and dessert place?

  1. Cafe Barrone a fine palce for a casual lunch. Also across the street (El Camino) is a new Turkish place that has great outdoor seating in the back. The food is quite good.

    1. If you're in a seafood mood, Cooks Seafood is very casual, quick, and generally pretty good. Fish & chips dish which are generally made with local or Alaskan halibut are good, as are their crab and shrimp salads. I like their chowders but they are too thick for many people's tastes. I'd stay away from the fried clams, calamari, etc. They tend to overfry these to the degree that much of the seafood flavor is lost. Here's a look at the standard menu, but they generally have 3 or 4 specials every day as well.
