Sushi Delight does a roaring business with their $6 lunch special, which is one the strip's best deals. Follow it up with a half dozen loukoumades and espresso from Athens Pastries and it's a great lunch for 2 for around 20 bucks.
Further east the Makkah Restaurant does excellent kebabs. -
Danforth is one of my favorite area to eat around town. My favorite Greek restaurant there is Astoria. I love their lamb solvaki. Miriko, beside the second cup, is very good japanese food. (Great all you can eat dinner too!) As many already said, Mocha Mocha. Very good salad there. And if you are really in the mood for peameal. New York Cafe. (corner of danforth and broadview. On broadview).

Mr.Greek's always a favorite for lunch at Carlaw/Danforth. (diagonally across the Friendly Greek) Right next door Mr.Greek is a good Japanese place that's got an affordable "all-you-can-eat" lunch special. Can't remember the name, but it's pretty good!
Also, if Greek food's not your thing try Caribbean food at the Guyanese owned Caribbean Desires Restaurant. It's on the north side on Danforth west of Donlands.
Here's there review:
