Dinner for 9 around Old Convention Center before Corteo

My office is going to the Cirque du Soleil show on a Friday night in November...the show is at the Old DC Convention Center (909 H Street, NW, near 11th st). There will be 9 of us and we would like to go to dinner before the show...not too pricey/fancy (although I'm sure it's on the company dollar) and my boss is a very picky maybe nice "american" cuisine with variety. Anybody got any good suggestions for a restaurant that will take reservations for a large party on a Friday evening?

  1. My suggestions are Matchbox and Cap City Brewery for very casual eating.

I would do Rosa Mexicano if you wanted to spend a little more money and fill up on margaritas and guacamole.

Thanks for the company has already been to Matchbox and I've been to the Cap City Brewery in Shirlington and wasn't very impressed. Could possibly do Rosa Mexicano...I'll check into that. Thanks!

    2. Company's paying? Go to Corduroy two blocks away at the Four Points Hotel.

      1. Acadiana isn't too expensive and has great food and dinks.

        1. Has AV's closed yet? That might be a good option for you. It's a bit of a walk but not too far from the old Convention Center.
