Going to Craft for dinner. Any recommendations? We like everything -- meat, fish.

Most importantly, what do I wear?!? This is a business dinner for husband who will likely wear slacks, blazer, open collar. Can I wear dark jeans, sexy blouse and heels? Or do I need to wear something dressier like a skirt? Is it trendy or corporate?

I think that you could get away with the dress jeans look. It's more trendy than corporate. (I think there was a guy with a Polo shirt at the table next to me, which is neither.)

Dark jeans/blouse/heels are fine for Craft, unless you are worried about being under-dressed relative to your husband's business guests.

Craft is vey laid-back and casual - black jeans would be just fine. I think Craft excels at both fish and meat dishes - and the pan seared fois gras is amazing, as are the roasted Hen of The Woods mushrooms. I was particularly impressed with the braised beef short ribs and the diver scallops.

When we were there, I went in a pair of high-end jeans, a french cuffed shirt, a blazer and loafers (Gucci, no socks). The place is more casual than people think, although there were others in full dress. However, if you are going with a business crowd perhaps the jeans and lack of socks are not for you? I hate feeling under dressed.

Do not miss the condiment section, or sides. They are highlights, and Tom searches out the very best of the best. The flavors are sustaining, concentrated, and singularly fresh.

Try the gnocchi, shortribs, beet salad, and brussel sprouts if they have them.
