Taste of Lexus

Lexus is distributing flyers for a "Taste of Lexus" event at the Dodger Stadium on Nov 11 & 12, 9 AM to 5 PM. All I could find food-related at their promo website ( ) is:

"Expect fine cuisine from noted international chefs that is sure to please the most discriminating palate. You are invited to sample the fare as often as you like."

Anybody knows more?

  1. I went to the one in September in OC at the El Toro base. I'm not sure who was catering the event or who the chefs were, but the food was pretty good, especially for a car driving event. Most dishes were little appetizers, mini-sandwiches, little pastries. There were a total of 4 or 5 serving tables, each offering 2 or 3 items.

The Lexus driving events and food are much nicer than just a sandwich and bag of chips like at the GM events.

    1. I went last year to the Dodgers stadium, and I was impressed with the food. well, it's not gonna be a tasting menu of exotic foods, but it was definitely better than sandwiches and bags of chips.

i'm looking forward to this year's cars and food... last year, they even had a massage service.

      1. We've been to several Taste of Lexus events. Food is generally very good, especially for a free event. Several years back, they had cooking demonstrations by Nancy Silverton and Mark Peel.

        1. Agree with all of the above. All the food they serve are apps/finger foods tho, so don't go expecting to have a big lunch there!

And yes, last time they had massages but you have to go early go grab an appt!

          1. The weekend of Nov. 11/12 was filled up immediately; they added the following weekend for these new invites.

I went to a GM one at the Rose Bowl some years ago. The food was fabulous--not sandwiches and chips. They offered massages, and there was a wine bar! (presumably after the test drives)

Edit: on second thought maybe I'm misremembering the food at the GM event. Everything else was so first class. Yikes, guess I'm remembering the wine bar more than the food.
