any suggestions on the best place to get a tender, juicy, crisp-skinned piece/half/whole roasted chicken in the west village? it would be very nice if said place also has good roast chicken sides, i.e. mashed potatoes, roasted red potatoes, baby carrots, garlic spinach, et cetera. droool.

    2. my vote is dirty bird to go even though its a little far away on 14th bet 7th and 8th.

      1. Definately try Jefferson Market. The chicken is moist and delicious. You can get a half chicken with 2 sides (choices of different veggies, potato, sometimes mac and cheese) for $8.50, including tax.

        1. I really liked the chicken dish at Employees only

          1. Gourmet Garage does a not bad at all rosemary chicken, but you have to get it while it's fresh ... those heat lamps are murder. And don't bother with the plain (adobo?) chicken variety, it's always dry.

            1. The rotisserie chicken from Pio Maya is really good. You can get a whole/half/quarter.
