Any ideas where can one find a fine Baked Alaska in NYC?
The best baked alaska ive had in the city came from StripHouse.
How expensive is the StripHouse?
They have a good version on the menu at Saul on Smith Street! http://www.saulrestaurant.com/
Sardi's still has it on their menu. I haven't had it since back when I could eat the lactose delights. (Sigh.)
I never went to Sardi's and Menu Pages list Delmonico's, Dream Kitchen, Giorgio's of Gramercy and Saul as also having Baked Alaska. Can anybody recommend one of these five restaurants?
Menupages has an excellent search feature called "Find-a-Food," which you can use to track down which restaurants have Baked Alaska on their menu.
I believe they have it on the menu at Union Square Cafe.
They did but not anymore.
It used to be at the Monkey Bar at
Hotel Elysee60 East 54th Street, Manhattan, (212) 838-2600.
Don't know about now...
