Elie's Lebanese - Columbia SC
I thought they had closed, but I saw recently that they were advertising for wait staff, so I guess I was wrong. Has anyone been there? How does it compare to Al Amir? I was thinking of checking it out sometime if any of you Colatown hounds give it the thumbs up. Thanks!

It's on St. Andrews between I-26 and Broad River Rd.
I'd say it's equal to Al Amir. Elie's menu may not be quite as extensive as Al Amir. There is a difference in some of the same dishes. The kibbeh for instance at Elie's seems to have a little more spice. I asked about the difference when I was at Elie's and was told Al Amir is run by Syrians and the folks at Elie's are Lebanese. I enjoy both places.
