Cappucino chips

Has anyone tried these from Guittard (I love their chocolate chips)? I tried them with the fake Mrs. Fields/Nieman Marcus chocolate chip cookie recipe, only ground up the chips for the ground up milk chocolate, used some chocolate for flour to make a chocolate cookie, and half cappucino/half chocolate chips. It was okay, kind of mocha-y but could be more coffee flavored. But, I don't know what else to do with them. Any ideas?

I fell for these too, and must say, they are pretty uninspiring. Not very good out of hand; They are too weakly flavored to make much impact in a recipe unless you make a mocha cheesecake and melt them for part of the white chocolate. They are mostly just sweet.

They are still in my chocolate stash bin, uneaten. Now the UFO's from Trader Joes almost never make it into a recipe :)

I haven't figured out if those UFOs are for baking or eating so I've just been eating them.:-) I bought two packs of those cappucino chips and still have one left. They're definitely something that work better in theory.

      Melt chips for fondue

      Float in hot brewed coffee

Good idea adding it in coffee. Thanks! What would you dip in the fondue? The chips don't have much flavor to carry through.

Chowser, on the fondue I would dip marshmellows (lots of flavored favorites avail now)typically offered in restaurant fondues but, how about chunks of poundcake and plain cheesecake squares, quarter a few coffee cake muffins...large enuf to hold onto a stick-but I'm thinking fresh fruit would probably be odd tasting.
