In my experience the bakery across from Cedars Sinai Hospital in B H has the best since their pastry shell is beautiful and tasty. But sure are open for other suggestions.

  1. IIRC it's not called strudel, but the poppy seed roll from Alpine Village grocery in Torrance is darn good. I just noticed that my local Jons started carrying an OC-made roll (can't remember name).

    1. Try the Rockenwagner Bakery on Washington in Culver City. One of my co-workers brought a poppy seed covered looking strudel type thing back to the office the other day and it looked really good. He is not a big fan of poppy seeds but he was really surprised how much he liked it.

If you go on Friday or Saturday make sure to pick up a bacon and cheese scone while you're there. They're only available 2 days a week now.
