Is Ma Soba VERY Good?

Visiting Boston to take some firm recruits to dinner. Would like to keep the price to $50 pp (and this place looks much cheaper). I'm trying to find something fresh/new. Is this place very good?

I wouldn't call it VERY good, it is okay. They have been around for at least a few years, but sometime in the past year they revamped their menus. Now, it has pictures on it and is laminated...which was quite a turn around from the old menu format and seems quite out of synch with the decor.

I have never been their for dinner so can't speak to how they deliver on that front. But, basd on my lunch experiences there, Ma Soba would not be at the top of my list for a "very good" group dinner out.

Are you looking for something in that area of the city? And for how big of a group? Grotto which is only a block or 2 away is a much better choice for dinner and falls in your price range. I've had a group dinner there with 12 people.

I wouldn't call Ma Soba fresh/new. It's been around for quite some time and I haven't heard the greatest of things about it.
