SF trip ending, Burman Superstar

On our way to the DeYoung Museum, we decided to stop at the Burma Superstar on Clement. I know the restaurant has been discussed on this board and has a Zagat rating. We have eaten at a Burmese in New York called Mingale on Second Avenue and 73rd. We went to Burma Superstar for lunch and had the samusa soup and the tea leaf salad.
The salad had an interesting crunch but was not memorable. The soup was superb in every way and had a unique taste redolent of South Asia. I would go back just for that soup. Good, friendly service in a restaurant busy for lunch on a weekday. As we are soon to leave, we cannot return to try other items on their extensive menu. Stopped nearby for red bean buns at the Sweet Delight Bakery. Better than the same buns in New York Chinatown.

Thanks to all the contributors for all your help. We plan to return and look forward to more exciting gustatory adventures.
