Pareve Kosher Desserts, Midtown East or UWS

selizara Sep 28, 2006 01:35 PM

I need to purchase a pareve (non-dairy) kosher dessert for shabbos dinner on Friday night. Does anyone have a recommendation for something that doesn't taste like cardboard that I could purchase in/near Midtown East or the UWS?

Here's the kicker: I need to purchase this after 5pm on Friday, and many kosher bakeries and stores close before then due to sundown. Any recs would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Edgar's Cafe
    255 W. 84th St., New York, NY 10024
between Broadway and West End Ave.

Has kosher desserts that my friend likes..Not all the desserts are kosher but, they are marked..

Also http://www.cafelalo.com/about.htm on the UWS has better desserts according to her..

    Good luck
