If you're willing to bus it, Q on Clement and 3rd is good and CHEAP.

Use to live in that 'hood. Breakfast places are on the lean side. Way back in the day there was Sylvia's and a funky western themed place where Kubuto sushi now is that I use to go...use to refer to it as "wagon wheel". (very bad w/ resto names...just remember location and what it looks like)
Before I moved a couple of years ago, I'd drive down to the Seal Rock Inn or head over to 9th/Irvining to Park Chow or Howard's for the classic American breakfast.

Video Cafe at 5700 Geary & 21st Ave. is my default basic breakfast joint, open 24/7...does that qualify for "unique"? It's a no-frills, basic straight forward kind of breakfast place...I am picky about my scrambled eggs...they must be soft, slightly wet. The cook at Video Cafe always gets it right. The other stuff is borderline o.k.
I also like Denny's Cafe at 5530 Geary for basic bargain breakfasts - as mention above by anna.
for a "good breakfast" near Geary and 19th Ave. I draw a blank.
what's a "good breakfast" to you? -
Louies all the way out to the Cliff House, right hand side. There's another breakfast spot, left hand side in the motel on street level, Sea Cliff restuarant? Breakfasts are good.

OK, someone just responded to the Peruvian place, so I don't need to look it up. Sounds good if you want brunch. I plan to try it given some time.

Are you thinking of the Seal Rock Inn Restaurant?

My all time favortie cheap eats, Denny's Cafe, is right there. It has a mix of Chinese food and Hong Kong style western food. It serves breakfast specials from 8am-11am. Each day of the week, there are 3 super cheap specials (under $3) that comes with coffee or tea, on top of the regular breakfast menu.
