Am I the only one that didn't know about this? (excerpted from online chat session with Craig LaBan yesterday

"Would I call Marc Vetri a sell-out just because he plans on opening a big osteria in North Philly with more casual fare? Absolutely not. Not if he's cooking pizzas and pasta with the same integrity he approaches his alta cucina at Vetri".

This was in the Inquirer a week or so ago: Marc Vetri and crew are now talking "early January" for Osteria (previously dubbed L'Osteria), their more casual operation at 640 N. Broad St.

It's been in the works (and in the news) for some time now. I think I even read something about it in the weekend WSJ a couple of weeks ago.
