Looking for small, greenmarket driven, fresh....

Need some ideas for a new place to try along the lines of Little Owl, Red Cat, Five Points, Blue Hill (without the prices) etc...Location can be anywhere north of Houston but south of 34th st. Also good fish/seafood options are a bonus. Thanks in advance...

      check out alias, on the corner of clinton and rivington. very nice little place with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients and local sourcing.

          if keeping the cost down is a concern, then the tasting room is probably out.

          Mas on Bedford/Downing... I find it very good and its not stuffy... Ill second Tasting Room And Prune, both excellent.

            Mas may not be stuffy, but it's very expensive.

            check out tigerland a thai-vietnamese all natural and organic restaurant on ave a between 5th and 6th.
            home-style, all locally sourced ingredients.
            simple and delicious.
