what to do with paprika paste
a family member brought me a tube of paprika paste from a trip to Hungary any suggestions as to what I can do with it?

I boiled a chicken last week and just called it my kitchen sink chicken because I threw in some fresh herbs I had leftover from a different cooking project, some sliced lemons, onions, garlic and I also used some paprika paste that I got last year in Budapest. I will never be able to duplicate the recipe but the paprika flavor went well with the chicken and herbs-it was pretty darn good for a throw together dish. I had never considered hummus though. That is brilliant!

I would add it to paprikash. I've no idea what the authentic recipe might be like, but I saute some aromatics and paprika, deglaze with wine, and then put in a large can of crushed tomatoes and shredded chicken, bubble that a while, and then right before service stir in sour cream, and pour over rice.
It looks terrible but it tastes great, very homey.
Is it sweet paprika, or smoked? Just plain?
